7 Things You Need To Know About Popular Yoruba Activist, Sunday Igboho


This popular yoruba activist, Sunday Igboho, has a great reputation for defending people against injustice. 

Everybody knows him by name Sunday Igboho in the ancient City of Ibadan, he is a politician and a very determined grassroots to mobiliser. 

Everyone will probably ask this a question “Why did activist Sunday choose to have the nickname “Igboho”?

According to one of his interviews, Sunday told a story about its biological origin. 
Following the interview, Sunday said that people in Yoruba Land tend to give other inhabitants the “names” due to the place they live in.

His father was even called “Baba Igboho” because he comes from Igboho. As a result of that, he got the name “Sunday Omo Baba Igboho”.

Below are few things you need to know about Sunday Igboho:

1. Chief Sunday Adeniyi Adeyemo,  popularly known as Activist Sunday Igboho was born October 10, 1972.  He is a right activist to the core and a grass root politician.

2. He is the chairman of Adeson International Business Concept Ltd and popularly known to as the Akoni Oodua of Yoruba.

3. He started life as a motorcycle (known as "Okada") repairer and then graduated into automobiles where he sells cars and was able to start Adeson business Concept.

4. He once worked with former Oyo Governor Rasheed Ladoja and became one of his most trusted aides. He has since became famous as a strong defendant of the Modakeke people in the Modakeke/Ife war between 1997 and 1998

5. He married two wives and has children, including 3 professional footballers in Germany. 

6. He is believed to possess metaphysical powers and is a strong advocate for the Oduduwa republic.

7. He has gained social media popularity in this January 2021 when he gave one week ultimatum to herdsmen in Ibarapa to vacate the land after the killing of Dr. Aborode.
