Biafra: No referendum, no more elections in Igbo land – Again, IPOB warns FG

The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has again reiterated its call for referendum, stressing that until the Nigerian government meets its demands, there will be no election in the South East starting from the upcoming Anambra State governorship election.
IPOB said should its call for referendum is not met, it will use the November 2017 governorship election in Anambra State to set example for what is to come in the future.
The group’s warning was contained in a statement signed by its spokesperson, Emma Powerful and sent to DAILY POST on Wednesday.
IPOB also berated the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, for saying its leader, Nnamdi Kanu is parading himself like an emperor.
The group said APGA’s claim was an attempt to “deflect attention away from the fact that it has been responsible for the death of innocent Biafrans numbering over 2000 since the formation of Anambra State.”
IPOB said while APGA is motivated by “personal greed and self-aggrandizement,” it is purely focused on the “liberation of our people and by extension, other oppressed people in Nigeria.”
The group warned that after the November governorship election, APGA will “cease to exist as a political force because they killed innocent Biafrans fighting for the liberation of all of us.”
The full statement reads below…
